Britain – Data Centres and Connectivity
The company has just released the 1st edition of the “Britain – Data Centres and Connectivity” map. This is a new map in the Data Centres Series and follows on from the “Ireland – Data Centres and Supporting Infrastructure” released last November.
This map shows the distribution of British data centers by location together with the name of the data center operators. This is shown against a background of the major wholesale fiber/dark fiber networks. The Britain Data Centers and Connectivity map has a base map with all administrative boundaries, major urban areas, and towns.
International connectivity for data centers is shown by illustrating all the export fiber optic cables out of Britain. The map also features Northern Ireland for completeness. An inset map for the Greater London Area is included due to the large number of data centers within the area.
The map is B1 size (700 x 1000mm) and a version of this map without advertising can be printed on demand or available as a pdf file. The datasets behind the map are available to purchase.
John Coleman, chief executive of La Tene Maps speaking on the release of the new map said “This is another new map from La Tene Maps in a sector which is growing rapidly. Before I started working on this map I had not realized there were so many data centers in Britain or that there were so many in the Greater London area. This is the second map in the Data Centre series. The company is currently working on a third map in the series “Europe – Data Centres” map which is expected to be published in early 2019″.
The Britain Data Centres and Connectivity map is to get its first public distribution at the “Data Centres North” conference and exhibition to be held in Manchester, UK on the 1st and 2nd May.
