La Tene Maps has recently started publishing maps on water backed up from almost two decades of production of maps on river, lake and estuarine water quality maps for the Irish Environmental Protection Agency. The company has the capability of producing maps on Water Abstraction, Cleaning, Purification and Waste Water Treatment anywhere in Europe. Currently the company has published a couple of maps on Britain and Ireland and a draft map on Australia.

  • British Water - Waste Water Treatment Plants 1st edition. The background information on this map is a map of the river systems of Britain and the River Basin Districts.  Superimposed on this are named waste water and sewage treatment works (STW).  The STW’s are differentiated by treatment type – Primary, Secondary or Tertiary and size of symbol indicates capacity. A colored background shows the different water and sewage company areas.

  • This new map has been produced ahead of the establishment of the new utility ” Irish Water” and is the first map available that shows all the infrastructure (apart from the pipes) associated with the supply of water in Ireland. This is shown against a background of the river and lake network, Hydrometric areas and the River Basin Districts. The map covers the whole of Ireland – North and South. The main things shown are category and capacity of water treatment plant ( Primary - tertiary) as well as drinking water abstraction point and water purification plant.
