Irish Water- Public Water Extraction, Purification and Waste Water Treatment

This new map has been produced ahead of the establishment of the new utility ” Irish Water” and is the first map available that shows all the infrastructure (apart from the pipes) associated with the supply of water in Ireland. This is shown against a background of the river and lake network, Hydrometric areas and the River Basin Districts. The map covers the whole of Ireland – North and South. The main things shown are category and capacity of water treatment plant ( Primary – tertiary) as well as drinking water abstraction point and water purification plant.
